Screening of cherry leaf roll virus in Sambucus nigra plants in Ukraine

Goal. Cherry leaf roll virus (CLRV) infects naturally a wide range of herbaceous and woody plants, different species trees, shrubs, horticultural, ornamental, weed plants causes significant economic losses in many hosts countries. CLRV on elderberry was reported Europe, USA, Iran North America. Recently this has been detected sour sweet cherry fruit orchards Ukraine. Testing other than Prunus performed Ukraine only recently. The aim the study to test black (Sambucus nigra L.). for presence Poltava region Kyiv regions.
 Methods. Sampling carried out summer–autumn period 2019—2021 territories regions city. Samples healthy were also analyzed. Visual diagnostics, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay DAS-ELISA modification, total RNA extraction, RT-PCR with primers 412 bp fragment 3’ untranslated genome, statistical data analysis used research. PCR products separated an 1.5% agarose gel. Commercial preparations positive controls DAS-ELISA.
 Results. Thirty three samples symptoms rolling mosaics varying degrees selected territory city 2019 2021 study. ELISA results showed that 82% tested infected by CLRV.
 Conclusions. CLRV, its harmfulness Sambucus potential serve as reservoir indicate necessity testing wider plant сherry
